Help Houston’s SPCA with your next birthday party or event!

Join hundreds of kids in the Houston area helping out the SPCA by donating pet food and other supplies. At your next event, in addition to or in place of asking for gifts to be brought for you, ask that everyone brings a donation item to help the many animals that Houston SPCA work with on a daily basis. Battlefield Houston will even help carry it to the SPCA. You can even make this a part of your next youth group for Scouting, Church, or School!

Just in the month of August, Houston SPCA was able to place 1,100 animals into new homes. They care for over 100,000 animals in need each year. As a private, non-profit organization, they rely on the generosity of the community. Here is what they need:

• Cat Litter (Non-clumping)
• Fabric toilet seat covers (for cat beds)
• Fresh Greens and Lettuce (not iceberg) for rabbits
• Hamster, Mice, Ferret, Gerbil, Rabbit, and Guinea Pig Food
• Can Openers
• Pet Grooming Supplies Hand Sanitizers
• Pet Toys – Cats and Dogs
• Towels / Blankets
• Rabbit Litter (Old Newspapers)
• Bleach
• Halters, Horse Blankets & Lead Ropes
• Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V)
• Cotton Swabs and Cotton Balls
• 8.5” x 11” copy paper, white and any color
• Office Supplies (scissors, tape, etc)
• Even Donate a Wal-Mart or Target Gift Card
